I've had a pretty interesting life so far.
After graduating from Muskingum College, I held a serious of pointless but frustrating government jobs. In my early 30s, I took a 60% pay cut and became a travel agent. It was the best career move I ever made. Eventually I owned a wildly successful travel agency in the heart of Washington, DC.
Along the way I taught at a travel school, was the marketing director for a boutique tour company focused on Southeast Asia, the travel manager for a international trade association and the North America representative for a major Chinese tour operator.
A few years ago my husband and I decided to move to Marietta, the oldest and the most haunted town in Ohio, where I started a business called Hidden Marietta. We offer historically-themed tours, programs and special events throughout the year. You can find out more about Hidden Marietta here.
I've written two books: Haunted Marietta: History and Mystery in Ohio's Oldest City and A Guide to Historic Marietta, Ohio, both published by The History Press of Charleston, South Carolina. You may order them from your local bookseller or buy them online by visiting My Books.
I also write short fiction and articles on history, folklore, ghosts, ancient magic and other matters. If it's quirky, weird or unexplained, I'm on it. Read several of those pieces in my Blog.
